Sticking with it

Most of my clients come to me with some form of discomfort or pain that they are seeking to heal... but once in a while, somebody comes with a dream!

Clients like this are so much fun - for them as much as me - because when we have a Northstar that guide our hearts, the changes we need to make to our diet and lifestyle have a bigger reward then just getting out of pain. These clients have included ballerinas, skateboarders and other ‘athletes’ but I’d also put in an elite octogenarian soccer wannabe returning to her childhood dream and an ex-rugby dad returning to coaching for his son with a big desire to shine!

I think of lot of us question why we can’t stick with exercising! We’re good for a while then just stop. I think this applies for both women and men, even teens I train: it simply doesn’t mean enough to you. Yet.

We need to find your North Star… the eternal ‘it’ that makes movement matter to you. Because

  • You kind of want it to

  • You have a bit of an interest in it

  • You know you probably should start working out

But it doesn’t mean enough to you yet to stick with it.

Whenever you do figure ‘it’ out, whenever it does mean enough to you, you’ll be so driven to better yourself that

  • You won’t make excuses

  • It will work

  • You’ll stick with it

So, find your ‘it’, your North Star, and just make sure it matters!
